Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 0.29% or 0.02 points to trade at 6.96 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 0.16% or 0.01 points to end at 3.87 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 14.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which lost 4.55% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.34 in late trade. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.97% or 0.07 points to end at 3.67 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) shed 1.54% or 0.30 points to 18.88.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.14% or 0.12 to $85.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.20% or 0.16 to hit $81.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.16% or 27.45 to trade at $2,341.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.44.
