Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which rose 3.67% or 0.52 points to trade at 14.68 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 3.10% or 0.17 points to end at 5.49 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 1.92% or 0.07 points to 3.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which lost 2.85% or 0.54 points to trade at 18.41 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 2.63% or 0.36 points to end at 13.31 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) shed 1.42% or 0.05 points to 3.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.40% or 0.34 to $84.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.49% or 0.40 to hit $81.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 24.45 to trade at $2,337.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 105.55.
