Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA), which rose 2.15% or 0.20 points to trade at 9.49 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 1.99% or 0.01 points to end at 0.37 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 1.33% or 0.05 points to 3.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which lost 2.26% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.55 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 1.53% or 0.21 points to end at 13.51 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) shed 1.29% or 0.03 points to 2.29.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.88% or 0.76 to $85.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.99% or 0.82 to hit $82.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.53% or 36.60 to trade at $2,361.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 104.63.
