Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA), which rose 2.52% or 0.21 points to trade at 8.53 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 2.47% or 0.27 points to end at 11.21 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 1.91% or 0.14 points to 7.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS), which lost 1.56% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.46 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 0.78% or 0.04 points to end at 4.47 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) 0.43% or 0.00 points to 0.92.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 2.41% or 1.80 to $72.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.64% or 1.88 to hit $69.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.88% or 78.90 to trade at $2,658.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 107.01.
