Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.14% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 2.01% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.65 at the close. Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 1.77% or 0.26 points to end at 14.94 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 0.85% or 0.03 points to 3.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT), which lost 0.89% or 0.08 points to trade at 8.35 in late trade. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) declined 0.64% or 0.02 points to end at 2.33 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) shed 0.55% or 0.03 points to 5.39.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.18% or 0.15 to $85.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $82.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 4.00 to trade at $2,417.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 103.80.
