Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Chemicals and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 2.46% or 0.60 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) added 2.26% or 7.00 points to end at 317.00 and mBank (WA:MBK) was up 2.24% or 7.75 points to 353.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which lost 4.09% or 245.25 points to trade at 5754.75 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 3.62% or 2.50 points to end at 66.50 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 3.32% or 0.090 points to 2.620.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 286 to 233 and 204 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.33% or 0.67 to $49.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.48% or 0.76 to hit $50.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.78% or 9.85 to trade at $1273.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.16% to 4.3226, while USD/PLN rose 0.12% to 3.9711.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 98.76.
