Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 2.17% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.141 at the close. Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 2.00% or 0.240 points to end at 12.240 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 1.23% or 0.500 points to 41.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which lost 6.25% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.900 in late trade. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 4.48% or 0.060 points to end at 1.280 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 4.22% or 0.015 points to 0.340.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 29 to 3 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.14% or 0.75 to $65.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.51% or 1.05 to hit $68.60 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 14.00 to trade at $1333.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.22% to 3.2185, while EUR/PEN fell 0.05% to 4.0059.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 89.03.
