Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 1.05%

Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.05% to hit a new 3-year high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 8.36% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.350 at the close. Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 6.60% or 0.670 points to end at 10.820 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 5.56% or 0.060 points to 1.140 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH), which lost 4.76% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.000 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 4.35% or 0.030 points to end at 0.660 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) shed 4.00% or 0.500 points to 12.000.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.79% or 0.43 to $54.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.08% or 0.05 to hit $60.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1276.60 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3989, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.9646.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.62.
