Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 2.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 1.55% or 3.1 points to trade at 203.2 at the close. Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) added 1.33% or 2.50 points to end at 190.70 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 0.52% or 1.5 points to 292.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which lost 8.15% or 12.9 points to trade at 145.4 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 7.36% or 1.4 points to end at 18.1 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 5.58% or 7.8 points to 132.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 128 to 49 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.02% or 0.51 to $49.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.30% or 0.66 to hit $50.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 5.05 to trade at $1268.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.0198, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.2620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 98.52.
