Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 2.98% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which rose 2.45% or 0.28 points to trade at 11.92 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) fell 0.07% or 0.10 points to end at 143.30 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 1.14% or 1.30 points to 112.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which lost 7.15% or 5.70 points to trade at 74.00 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) declined 6.85% or 5.10 points to end at 69.40 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) shed 5.83% or 1.69 points to 27.28.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 55 and 15 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 5.69% or 3.39 to $56.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 5.41% or 3.40 to hit $59.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 3.14% or 93.75 to trade at $3,083.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.52% to 12.17, while USD/NOK rose 0.77% to 11.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 102.08.
