Goldman Sachs is out with its near-term forex outlook
Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.93% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP), which rose 5.61% or 14.50 points to trade at 273.00 at the close. Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) added 4.67% or 12.20 points to end at 273.30 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 4.26% or 7.70 points to 188.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which lost 5.37% or 0.13 points to trade at 2.32 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) declined 3.69% or 0.49 points to end at 12.79 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) shed 2.70% or 4.30 points to 155.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 171 to 106 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 5.82% or 3.96 to $72.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 5.69% or 3.95 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 47.40 to trade at $3,449.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.42% to 11.46, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 9.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 98.18.
