Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.65% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 6.72% or 0.17 points to trade at 2.64 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 3.41% or 57.50 points to end at 1,743.00 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 2.04% or 3.90 points to 194.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL), which lost 4.50% or 3.65 points to trade at 77.40 in late trade. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 4.46% or 6.90 points to end at 147.80 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 2.09% or 3.90 points to 182.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 140 to 128 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.15% or 0.09 to $62.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $65.44 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 22.99 to trade at $3,307.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.52% to 11.50, while USD/NOK fell 1.02% to 10.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 99.39.
