Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were PGS ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.37% or 0.29 points to trade at 8.77 at the close. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 3.21% or 3.90 points to end at 125.40 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 2.80% or 3.80 points to 139.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which lost 3.94% or 23.00 points to trade at 561.00 in late trade. Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) declined 1.14% or 2.05 points to end at 177.95 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.10% or 3.40 points to 304.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 174 to 103 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.99% or 0.80 to $81.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.84% or 0.71 to hit $85.18 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.13% or 26.15 to trade at $2,339.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was unchanged 0.02% to 11.41, while USD/NOK fell 0.28% to 10.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 105.50.
