Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Diversified Financials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.25% to hit a new all time high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 2.86% or 11.0 points to trade at 400.0 at the close. Aker ASA (OL:AKER) added 1.38% or 9.0 points to end at 664.0 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 1.30% or 3.80 points to 295.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 4.22% or 0.73 points to trade at 16.45 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.55% or 0.86 points to end at 32.81 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 2.53% or 0.02 points to 0.73.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 82 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.22% or 0.17 to hit $76.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1214.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.44% to 9.7634, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.3292.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.44.
