GSK shares fall after FDA panel votes against Blenrep combinations for myeloma
Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which rose 1.27% or 0.40 points to trade at 31.38 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) added 0.29% or 0.28 points to end at 95.76 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was up 0.27% or 0.01 points to 4.12 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG), which lost 2.72% or 0.75 points to trade at 26.82 in late trade. IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) declined 2.35% or 2.75 points to end at 114.10 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) shed 1.75% or 2.55 points to 143.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 69 to 23 and 15 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.31% or 1.62 to $71.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.35% or 1.72 to hit $74.95 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 19.85 to trade at $3,397.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 97.96.
