Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were NN Group NV (AS:NN), which rose 1.65% or 0.88 points to trade at 54.26 at the close. Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 1.15% or 0.05 points to end at 4.13 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 1.14% or 18.60 points to 1,655.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which lost 2.16% or 2.45 points to trade at 110.85 in late trade. ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) declined 1.70% or 8.30 points to end at 479.20 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) shed 1.25% or 0.27 points to 21.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 41 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.13% or 0.70 to $62.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.87% or 0.57 to hit $65.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 44.36 to trade at $3,231.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.65% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 100.28.
