Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Construction & Building Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Akdital SA (CSE:AKT), which rose 8.52% or 60.50 points to trade at 771.00 at the close. Societe des Boissons du Maroc SA (CSE:SBM) added 6.17% or 151.00 points to end at 2,600.00 and Maghreb Oxygene (CSE:MOX) was up 5.88% or 12.00 points to 216.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC), which lost 9.70% or 3.24 points to trade at 30.16 in late trade. Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR) declined 8.31% or 2.90 points to end at 32.00 and Wafa Assurance (CSE:WAA) shed 6.36% or 267.00 points to 3,931.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 36 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.20% or 0.17 to $83.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $86.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.90 to trade at $2,337.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.11% to 10.70, while USD/MAD rose 0.35% to 9.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 105.47.
