Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Distributors, Beverage and Forestry & Paper sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC), which rose 6.60% or 1.99 points to trade at 32.15 at the close. Akdital SA (CSE:AKT) added 3.75% or 28.90 points to end at 799.90 and Ste Nationale de Siderurgie SA (CSE:SID) was up 3.03% or 25.00 points to 850.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Label Vie (CSE:LBV), which lost 5.56% or 250.00 points to trade at 4,250.00 in late trade. Societe des Boissons du Maroc SA (CSE:SBM) declined 3.85% or 100.00 points to end at 2,500.00 and Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CSE:AGM) shed 2.99% or 204.00 points to 6,621.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 32 to 19 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.13% or 0.11 to $82.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.10% or 0.09 to hit $86.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.67% or 39.05 to trade at $2,372.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.72, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 104.83.
