Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.22%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 5.87% or 33 points to trade at 595 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) added 5.64% or 5.90 points to end at 110.50 and Risma (CS:RIS) was up 4.44% or 6.90 points to 162.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC), which lost 5.94% or 104 points to trade at 1750 in late trade. Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) declined 5.92% or 1.57 points to end at 24.93 and Maghrebail (CS:MAB) shed 5.88% or 39 points to 624.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.83% or 1.25 to $45.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.84% or 0.88 to hit $48.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.75% or 8.30 to trade at $1110.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.24% to 10.9150, while USD/MAD fell 0.32% to 9.6860.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.60.
