FTSE 100 today: Index opens flat amid latest trade developments; pound above $1.36
Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 1.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES), which rose 2.77% or 11.03 points to trade at 409.49 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB) added 2.13% or 4.99 points to end at 239.67 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ELEKTRA) was up 1.93% or 7.00 points to 370.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GCARSOA1), which lost 5.75% or 7.52 points to trade at 123.33 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO) declined 4.38% or 2.24 points to end at 48.90 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) shed 3.60% or 0.28 points to 7.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 108 and 14 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.91% or 30.36 to $3,313.54 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.33% or 0.20 to hit $60.74 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.07% or 0.68 to trade at $62.67 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.66% to 19.44, while EUR/MXN rose 0.44% to 22.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 99.38.
