Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Chemicals and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 5.98% or 2.90 points to trade at 51.32 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) added 5.98% or 8.35 points to end at 147.90 and Risma (CS:RIS) was up 5.97% or 8.70 points to 154.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which lost 8.90% or 1.81 points to trade at 18.52 in late trade. Involys (CS:INV) declined 6.00% or 7.80 points to end at 122.20 and M2M Group (CS:M2M) shed 5.94% or 16.35 points to 258.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.32% or 0.13 to $40.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.95% or 0.86 to hit $43.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1084.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.6890, while USD/MAD rose 0.49% to 10.0034.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 99.34.
