Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 7.24% or 760.0 points to trade at 11260.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 4.84% or 2700.0 points to end at 58500.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 4.53% or 120.0 points to 2770.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which lost 4.17% or 75.0 points to trade at 1725.0 in late trade. Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 0.55% or 200.0 points to end at 36300.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.45% or 5.0 points to 1105.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 6 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.71% or 2.02 to $116.08 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.27% or 9.00 to hit $3359.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1069.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.89% to 3103.50, while BRL/COP rose 2.06% to 823.91.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 99.69.
