The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 4.69% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.31 at the close. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) added 2.06% or 0.10 points to end at 5.15 and Inwit (BIT:INWT) was up 1.91% or 0.18 points to 9.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which lost 4.23% or 0.48 points to trade at 10.91 in late trade. Buzzi Unicem (BIT:BZU) declined 4.08% or 2.04 points to end at 47.96 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) shed 2.08% or 0.39 points to 18.36.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 304 to 222 and 29 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $69.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $73.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.34% or 40.80 to trade at $3,093.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.46% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.91.
