Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Eni SpA (BIT:ENI), which rose 1.52% or 0.21 points to trade at 13.86 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 1.18% or 0.03 points to end at 2.40 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was up 1.07% or 0.05 points to 4.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which lost 2.96% or 3.05 points to trade at 100.10 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.74% or 0.25 points to end at 8.78 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) shed 2.73% or 11.60 points to 413.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 378 to 155 and 51 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $68.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.24% or 0.17 to hit $69.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.92% or 64.10 to trade at $3,407.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.74% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 97.96.
