Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Travel & Leisure and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 4.98% or 0.74 points to trade at 15.51 at the close. Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) added 2.87% or 0.19 points to end at 6.99 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 2.29% or 0.05 points to 2.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which lost 4.96% or 0.44 points to trade at 8.52 in late trade. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) declined 3.90% or 0.69 points to end at 16.86 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) shed 2.58% or 0.15 points to 5.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 316 to 225 and 37 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.26% or 1.98 to $62.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.20% or 2.01 to hit $64.79 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 2.57% or 85.35 to trade at $3,400.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.67% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 98.73.
