Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 3.61% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.24 at the close. Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) added 0.80% or 0.03 points to end at 4.16 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was up 0.79% or 0.11 points to 14.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which lost 2.92% or 0.65 points to trade at 21.64 in late trade. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) declined 2.64% or 0.01 points to end at 0.22 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) shed 2.57% or 1.10 points to 41.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 326 to 160 and 47 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.56% or 0.46 to $81.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.65% or 0.55 to hit $84.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 7.85 to trade at $2,336.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.35.
