Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 2.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 7.45% or 2.91 points to trade at 41.95 at the close. Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) added 7.25% or 0.90 points to end at 13.31 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (BIT:BMED) was up 5.37% or 0.65 points to 12.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eni SpA (BIT:ENI), which lost 1.28% or 0.15 points to trade at 11.89 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 0.84% or 0.07 points to end at 8.22 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) gained 0.45% or 0.07 points to 14.62.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 481 to 85 and 31 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.87% or 0.53 to $61.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.30% or 0.19 to hit $64.40 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.25% or 37.30 to trade at $3,010.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 103.06.
