Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.98% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which rose 10.91% or 5.68 points to trade at 57.74 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 5.96% or 1.54 points to end at 27.47 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) was up 3.99% or 0.56 points to 14.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which lost 2.55% or 1.70 points to trade at 64.84 in late trade. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) declined 0.86% or 3.70 points to end at 424.80 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) shed 0.85% or 0.06 points to 7.01.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 343 to 184 and 40 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.87% or 0.59 to $68.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.68% or 0.48 to hit $71.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 24.75 to trade at $2,670.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 100.20.
