Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 2.07% or 48.00 points to trade at 2,368.00 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 1.73% or 18.00 points to end at 1,056.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 0.95% or 250.00 points to 26,670.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which lost 4.75% or 56.00 points to trade at 1,123.00 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 3.80% or 193.00 points to end at 4,892.00 and Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) shed 3.51% or 790.00 points to 21,710.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 305 to 133 and 100 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.53% or 1.62 to $62.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.53% or 1.72 to hit $66.24 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 3.05% or 101.49 to trade at $3,429.89 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.13% to 3.72, while EUR/ILS rose 2.00% to 4.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.94% at 98.20.
