Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 4.66% or 960 points to trade at 21560 at the close. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) added 3.60% or 62 points to end at 1785 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) was up 2.55% or 85 points to 3415 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellcom (TA:CEL), which lost 2.75% or 108 points to trade at 3821 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 1.73% or 52 points to end at 2956 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 1.49% or 55 points to 3645.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 217 to 174 and 53 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.57% or 0.75 to $48.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.39% or 0.71 to hit $51.63 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.85 to trade at $1200.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.53% to 3.6465, while EUR/ILS fell 0.29% to 3.8773.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 101.36.
