Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Technology and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.89% or 288.00 points to trade at 5,180.00 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 4.02% or 165.00 points to end at 4,265.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was up 3.88% or 41.00 points to 1,097.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which lost 4.60% or 266.00 points to trade at 5,514.00 in late trade. Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) declined 4.36% or 49.00 points to end at 1,074.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) shed 4.05% or 5,880.00 points to 139,200.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 236 to 196 and 106 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.28% or 0.80 to $63.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.00% or 0.66 to hit $66.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 14.40 to trade at $3,439.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.23% to 3.70, while EUR/ILS fell 0.52% to 4.25.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 98.29.
