FTSE 100 today: Index slides, pound slips to $1.35, GDP figures disappoint
Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.25% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 3.23% or 490.00 points to trade at 15,640.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 2.04% or 590.00 points to end at 29,510.00 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 2.03% or 196.00 points to 9,870.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which lost 1.78% or 82.00 points to trade at 4,519.00 in late trade. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 1.39% or 43.00 points to end at 3,043.00 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) shed 0.98% or 13.00 points to 1,317.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 247 to 217 and 74 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.76% or 0.51 to $66.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.73% or 0.50 to hit $68.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 3.60 to trade at $3,346.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.39% to 3.34, while EUR/ILS rose 0.58% to 3.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 96.82.
