Proactive Investors - HSBC Holdings PLC (LON:HSBA) has confirmed changes to its senior and middle management as new chief executive Georges Elhedery takes over

Elhedery replaces Noel Quinn on 2 September and, ahead of that, HSBC has shuffled several people in his management team.

Barry O’Byrne, currently global commercial banking chief is to become chief of global wealth and personal banking with Nuno Matos stepping down for another role in the group.

Group company secretary Aileen Taylor becomes chief human resources and governance officer replacing Elaine Arden with group operating officer John Hinshaw also stepping down.

Stuart Riley has become chief information officer while Suzy White is interim COO while a formal recruitment process gets underway.

Elhedery said: “I am really looking forward to working with Barry, Aileen, Stuart and Suzy, as we pursue the next phase of our growth.”
