Investing.com – Germany equities were mixed at the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Food & Beverages and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Construction, Software and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.03%, while the MDAX index added 0.73%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 1.76% or 0.45 points to trade at 26.05 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) added 1.70% or 0.52 points to end at 31.18 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) was up 0.94% or 0.13 points to 13.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which lost 2.46% or 0.59 points to trade at 23.44 in late trade. Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) declined 1.27% or 1.78 points to end at 138.82 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) shed 0.65% or 1.30 points to 197.72.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which rose 8.04% to 28.49, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was up 5.63% to settle at 125.80 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which gained 2.18% to close at 2.30.
The worst performers were Tui AG NA (ETR:TUI1n) which was down 3.18% to 5.96 in late trade, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which lost 1.97% to settle at 37.81 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 1.34% to 17.35 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKTG) which rose 1.76% to 57.80, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was up 1.52% to settle at 77.00 and 11 AG (ETR:1U1) which gained 1.41% to close at 14.42.
The worst performers were Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which was down 1.81% to 27.12 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which lost 1.34% to settle at 17.35 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which was down 1.27% to 15.59 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 333 to 274 and 40 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.26% to 14.17.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.93% or 23.70 to $2,536.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.44% or 1.85 to hit $74.06 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.92% or 1.51 to trade at $77.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 101.57.
