Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 0.31% or 0.13 points to trade at 41.43 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.09% or 0.010 points to end at 11.210 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.06% or 0.02 points to 35.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 2.68% or 0.116 points to trade at 4.210 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.34% or 0.155 points to end at 6.465 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 2.32% or 0.82 points to 34.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 110 to 29 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.52% or 0.29 to $55.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.92% or 0.49 to hit $52.68 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.40 to trade at $1197.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.0697, while EUR/GBP rose 0.55% to 0.8567.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.39.
