Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 1.35% or 1.20 points to trade at 90.15 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 1.23% or 0.51 points to end at 41.90 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 1.06% or 0.11 points to 10.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 4.74% or 0.81 points to trade at 16.19 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.49% or 0.41 points to end at 11.19 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 2.81% or 0.17 points to 5.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 72 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 5.14% or 3.98 to $73.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 5.38% or 3.97 to hit $69.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 15.85 to trade at $2,681.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.96.
