European banks set to underperform U.S. peers in second quarter, Citi says
Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 1.15% or 0.10 points to trade at 9.16 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.89% or 0.04 points to end at 4.76 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.19% or 0.04 points to 20.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.15% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.38 in late trade. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 2.27% or 1.60 points to end at 68.85 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 2.15% or 0.39 points to 17.79.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 51 and 27 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.51% or 0.98 to $63.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.43% or 0.88 to hit $60.69 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 18.91 to trade at $3,294.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 99.82.
