Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 2.34% or 0.98 points to trade at 42.90 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) added 0.76% or 0.08 points to end at 9.94 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.36% or 0.14 points to 38.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.55% or 0.33 points to trade at 12.61 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 2.25% or 0.73 points to end at 31.65 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) shed 1.85% or 0.21 points to 11.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 78 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.30% or 0.26 to $87.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.45% or 0.38 to hit $84.26 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 23.35 to trade at $2,392.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 104.62.
