Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 1.92% or 0.74 points to trade at 39.26 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) added 0.95% or 0.75 points to end at 79.75 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.82% or 0.03 points to 3.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 2.21% or 0.98 points to trade at 43.34 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 1.95% or 0.35 points to end at 17.35 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 1.56% or 0.22 points to 13.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 68 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.91% or 0.79 to $85.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.05% or 0.87 to hit $82.29 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.47% or 35.20 to trade at $2,362.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 104.60.
