Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.91% or 0.13 points to trade at 14.49 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.89% or 0.42 points to end at 47.40 and Kalmar Oyj (HE:KALMAR) was up 0.70% or 0.20 points to 28.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which lost 9.34% or 0.66 points to trade at 6.36 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 2.98% or 0.28 points to end at 9.17 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.13% or 0.17 points to 7.99.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 72 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.84% or 2.31 to $62.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 4.17% or 2.38 to hit $59.51 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.43% or 80.59 to trade at $3,402.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 99.26.
