Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 1.67% or 0.25 points to trade at 15.20 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 1.64% or 0.74 points to end at 45.80 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 1.46% or 0.19 points to 13.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kalmar Oyj (HE:KALMAR), which lost 4.19% or 1.50 points to trade at 34.27 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.29% or 0.35 points to end at 10.44 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) shed 3.02% or 2.55 points to 81.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 66 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 1.37% or 0.95 to $70.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.16% or 0.77 to hit $67.13 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 4.69 to trade at $2,921.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 103.63.
