Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.45% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.30 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 2.52% or 0.48 points to end at 19.32 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was up 2.43% or 0.16 points to 6.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.25% or 0.24 points to trade at 10.20 in late trade. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 1.95% or 1.60 points to end at 80.30 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 1.58% or 1.10 points to 68.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 85 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.01% or 0.71 to $69.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.95% or 0.64 to hit $66.40 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 13.31 to trade at $2,900.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 103.91.
