Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.00% or 0.68 points to trade at 34.63 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.63% or 0.46 points to end at 28.64 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.30% or 0.070 points to 5.460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 1.37% or 0.31 points to trade at 22.39 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.31% or 0.62 points to end at 46.61 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 0.66% or 0.04 points to 6.74.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 83 to 56 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 2.07% or 1.15 to $56.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.92% or 1.02 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1235.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.0643, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 100.67.
