Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 4.21% or 1.52 points to trade at 37.60 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 4.07% or 1.56 points to end at 39.85 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) was up 2.49% or 0.10 points to 4.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 2.26% or 0.43 points to trade at 18.58 in late trade. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 0.55% or 0.45 points to end at 80.95 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) 0.12% or 0.00 points to 3.42.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 62 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.28% or 0.24 to $85.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $80.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 19.80 to trade at $2,366.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 105.26.
