Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.69% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which rose 2.80% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.37 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.66% or 0.29 points to end at 11.21 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 2.36% or 0.28 points to 12.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 7.58% or 0.79 points to trade at 9.68 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 3.06% or 1.18 points to end at 37.34 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.61% or 0.30 points to 18.31.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 56 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.45% or 0.34 to $75.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.61% or 0.43 to hit $71.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 11.90 to trade at $2,912.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.66.
