Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 4.12% or 2.75 points to trade at 69.55 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 3.40% or 0.32 points to end at 9.62 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.78% or 0.12 points to 4.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 0.88% or 0.43 points to trade at 48.63 in late trade. Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) declined 0.58% or 0.11 points to end at 18.86 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 0.46% or 0.25 points to 53.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 66 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 2.73% or 2.04 to $72.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.98% or 2.12 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.92% or 80.00 to trade at $2,657.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 107.03.
