Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.53% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kalmar Oyj (HE:KALMAR), which rose 3.14% or 1.12 points to trade at 36.67 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 2.76% or 0.30 points to end at 11.16 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 2.25% or 0.08 points to 3.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 1.78% or 0.20 points to trade at 11.01 in late trade. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) declined 0.78% or 0.22 points to end at 28.12 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) shed 0.71% or 0.21 points to 29.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 69 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.62% or 0.47 to $75.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.37% or 0.97 to hit $71.68 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.74% or 50.35 to trade at $2,951.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 106.83.
