Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 1.57% or 1.10 points to trade at 71.00 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.43% or 0.07 points to end at 4.79 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.38% or 0.15 points to 11.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 0.70% or 0.08 points to trade at 10.68 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.70% or 0.06 points to end at 9.04 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) shed 0.56% or 0.04 points to 6.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 75 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.89% or 0.68 to $76.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.86% or 0.62 to hit $72.72 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 22.80 to trade at $2,958.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 106.49.
