Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 2.52% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.57 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.15% or 0.39 points to end at 18.26 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 1.73% or 0.31 points to 18.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.75% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.33 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.35% or 0.20 points to end at 14.30 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) shed 0.42% or 0.07 points to 16.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 72 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.58% or 0.49 to $84.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.69% or 0.56 to hit $81.46 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.09% or 25.10 to trade at $2,338.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 105.56.
