Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.60% or 0.47 points to trade at 13.37 at the close. Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) added 2.21% or 0.09 points to end at 4.25 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.30% or 0.85 points to 66.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 3.32% or 0.32 points to trade at 9.31 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.16% or 0.18 points to end at 8.25 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 1.46% or 0.87 points to 58.83.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 63 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.15% or 0.11 to $72.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $68.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 14.30 to trade at $2,592.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 106.35.
